This is one of eight panels filling the walls of the octagonal central room in the Luis Muñoz Rivera mausoleum in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico. Muñoz Rivera was one of the most famous men in the political history of Puerto Rico. He devoted his life to the struggle for the political autonomy of Puerto Rico. The mural by Rafael Rios-Rey represents this political struggle.
