Pyxis with Geometric Designs

A pyxis with lid that was an offering from a woman's grave of the Late Geometric Period (about 750 B.C.). It was found at a family burial ground to the South of Tholos. A pyxis was a round box with a lid used to hold cosmetics or jewellery. The base is decorated with a meander band.
