Tabby Mortar between Coquina Ashlars

Tabby Mortar between Coquina Ashlars

These coquina ashlars were joined with tabby mortar. There is an excess of mortar, which may indicate the surface was covered with tabby in the past. The fort is a National Monument, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
