This is the Abe Rubel House, at 1109 Jackson Street. The house was built in 1904. The brick house is built in a Neoclassical style, with Georgian Revival influences, which is frequently called Colonial Revival in areas where English colonists predominated.
The simple portico includes a full entablature, above smooth columns. There is a triple-arched window above the portico, with mullions decorated to look like columns. There are three dormers on the roof, with a Palladian window in the larger, central dormer. The corners of the building are quoined, and the cornices are decorated with dentils.Galleries:Bilateral Symmetry, Colonial Revival, Corinth, Views of Houses, ExteriorKeywords:abe rubel, brick, colonial revival, columns, corinth, cornice, dormers, georgian revival, mississippi, mullions, neoclassical, palladian window, portico, quoinsPhoto Location: Corinth, MississippiPhotographer: Nathan WolkenhauerDate of Photo: 10/31/2011Device Make: CanonDevice Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark IIExposure Time: 0.0004F Number: 2.8Original Dimensions: 3744×5088Picture Orientation: PortraitGPS Coordinates: 34°56'03.32"N 88°31'20.17"WPicture Number: 21224
