The Arcade, from the Chapter House
This image provides a view of the arcade, from the Chapter House. The arches on the inside wall of the arcade have a double course of voussoirs, with offset columns to support each course separately. One of the columns that supports the ceiling of the Chapter House is visible. All of the columns have elaborately carved capitals, although the capitals of the arcade use a different motif to the capital in the chapter house. The monastery is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
