The Choppy Waters of Matanzas Bay along the Seawall of Castillo de San Marcos
This is the seawall that protects Castillo de San Macos from the waters of Matanzas Bay. There is a sailboat anchored near the seawall. It appears to be a stormy day, and the water is very choppy. St. Augustine can be seen in the distance. The fort is a National Monument, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.Galleries:Castillo de San Marcos, Forts and Fortifications, St. Augustine, St. JohnsKeywords:castillo de san marcos, choppy water, fort marion, matanzas bay, sailboat, saint augustine, seawall, st. augustine, stormy dayPhoto Location: St. Augustine, FloridaPhotographer: Dr. Roy WinkelmanDate of Photo: 10/08/2011Device Make: CanonDevice Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark IIExposure Time: 0.0166667F Number: 9Original Dimensions: 5502×3675Picture Orientation: LandscapeGPS Coordinates: 29°53'52.65"N 81°18'43.88"WPicture Number: 25101
