The Front Door of the Hammond House

The Front Door of the Hammond House

This is the Hammond House, also known as the Wallace House, at 1004 North Fillmore Street. The house was built around 1877, in the Second Empire style. The original design was likely by James T. Calender, for the Boone family. At the time this photograph was taken, this was the location of the Corinth Realty offices. The porch roof is supported by five columns. There is an addition, on the side of the house, with a front-gabled roof.
