The James E. Creary House in Corinth, Mississippi

The James E. Creary House in Corinth, Mississippi

This is the James E. Creary House, at 609 E. Fourth Street. The house is considered an example of the Colonial Revival style, although the Mississippi Department of Archives and History notes that there are Victorian influences. This large, white home is covered with wood lap siding. A porch wraps around the front and side of the first floor, with a wraparound balcony above it. There appears to be a widow's walk on the roof. There are multiple gabled dormers on the roof, along with two brick chimneys. This picture shows the two-story porch, and the side elevation of the house. There is a small balcony on the second floor. A small ox-eye window can be seen on the ground floor.
