This house, known as the Newcomb-Ammons Home, stands at 1302 Jackson Street. This house was built, around 1915, by Thomas P. Newcomb. The hosue was purchased by M.F. Ammons, in 1927. Wide steps lead up to the front porch, and the front door. The house has a low-pitched, side-gable roof. There is a large, gabled dormer on the roof, with three rectangular windows. This photograph shows the rear elevation. There is a shed dormer on the roof.
