The Sentry Tower, from the South

The sentry tower was built on the top of the northeast bastion, at Castillo de San Marcos. The water battery can be seen, including several barbette arcs. The water, to the right, is Matanzas Bay. The fort is a National Monument, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
