The central potion of the Vinoy Park Hotel shows seven stories, with five story wings to either side. A tower, with an ornate white balcony, rises from the roof. There is a single story wing projecting from the front of the building, and the front entrance is protected by an arcade. There is a large courtyard, with a fountain, in front of the hotel. This type of architecture is often referred to as Mediterranean Revival, which generally means that the building includes elements of the Second Italian Renaissance style, the Italianate style, the Spanish Colonial Revival style, and sometimes the Spanish Mission Revival style. This building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.Galleries:Hotels/Motels/Inns, Pinellas, St. PetersburgKeywords:hotel, saint petersburg, souvenir postcard folder 66, st. petersburg, the vinoy, vinoy hotel, vinoy park hotelPhoto Location: St. Petersburg, FloridaOriginal Dimensions: 3000×1802Picture Orientation: LandscapeGPS Coordinates: 27°46'23.00"N 82°38'24.00"WSource:Bird's Eye View of St. Petersburg Across Mirror Lake (souvenir folder) (Asheville, NC: Asheville Post Card Co.) 12Picture Number: 16972
