Trajan Speaks to His Troops, the Roman Army Take Control of a Timber Store, and Trajan Learns of the Death of Decebal
The lower spiral, in this image, shows the end of panel ninety-five, and the beginning of panel ninety-six. This section of panel ninety-five shows Trajan giving a speech to the troops. In panel ninety-six, the troops are improving a recently taken fortification.
The middle spiral, in this image, shows the end of panel ninety-eight, and the beginning of panel ninety-nine. The end of panel ninety-eight shows the Roman army crossing a stream, with the help of a temporary bridge. Panel ninety-nine opens with the Roman army taking possession of a quantity of timber.
The upper spiral, in this image, shows the end of panel 103, and the beginning of panel 104. In panel 103, the Dacians are retreating through a woodland setting. Some of the Dacian chiefs are dying. In panel 104, Trajan receives word that Decebal has died.
