Trajan Watches a Battle, Jupiter Fights on the Side of the Romans, the Dacian Cavalry Nearly Drowns, and the Dacians Attack

The lower spiral, in this image, shows the sixteenth panel. This panel shows the first battle with the Dacians. Trajan is standing to the far left, watching the battle. To the right of Trajan, a couple of Roman infantrymen are holding out the heads of the enemy, for Trajan's inspection. To the far right, at the top of the spiral, Jupiter is shown fighting on the side of the Romans, by tossing thunderbolts at the Dacians.

The upper spiral, in this image, shows the twenty-second panel, and the beginning of the twenty-third. In the twenty-second panel, the Dacian cavalry is having difficulties crossing a river. At the beginning of the twenty-third panel, the Dacians are attacking a Roman outpost.
