Sweeping View of the Esplanade at Castillo San Felipe del Morro

A sweeping panoramic view of the 23-acre grassy area located in front of Castillo San Felipe del Morro, known as the Esplanade. This area once served as an invaluable defensive asset (a firing-grounds for the cannons of El Morro); now it is a popular site for picnicking and kite flying. One can see many park visitors lounging in the grass.
