Sunset at Castillo de San Cristóbal

A sweeping panoramic view of the sun setting on Castillo de San Cristóbal at the San Juan National Historic Site. The fortress was built over the course of 150 years to protect El Morro and the city of San Juan from land attack. Here one can see a sentry box, which was occupied by soldiers on the lookout. A ramp ascends to the Observation Area, which is the highest level of the fortress.
