Melhok Ki

This structure is a reproduction of a O'odham style house. It was built using traditional techniques in 1997. Originally, the O'odham people built round houses, but over time they adopted the square structures of the Spanish. This reconstruction includes a juato (porch). The house (ki) is believed to closely resemble the Native American housing that was once a part of the Tumacácori mission complex.
