Tumacácori Mission Compound

The ruins to the left of the church building is what is left of the mission convento. It was here that the five priests accompanying the Anza expedition stayed until the entire group left nearby Tubac in 1775. To the right of the church is the mission storehouse ruins. The low rectangular outline in front of and to the left of the church marks the location of the mission's first church begun in 1753.
