Animated Cartoons
Create an animated iMovie out of pictures created in art class.
Objectives
- Students use viewing strategies effectively.
- Students understand the power of language.
- Students understand and apply media, techniques and processes.
- Students create and communicate a range of subject matter, symbols, and ideas using knowledge of structures and functions of visual arts.
Procedure
- Have students draw ten frames for a cartoon.
- Use a digital camera to take picture of cartoon frames.
- Import pictures into computer and then into iMovie.
- Create animated iMovie of cartoon frames adding transitions and audio.

- Students add text to the animated cartoons.
- Students could use a scanner to import drawings into iMovie.
- Students could put the videos on a web site.
