This historical marker was built with sandstone. There is a metal plaque on this side of the monument. The plaque discusses the history of the “Old Portage Railroad.” The foot of an incline plane is visible, in the background. Skew Arch Bridge is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, as part of the Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site.
