This is a window that leads into the basement. The window is set into the dressed stone of the building's foundation. The window has a small shutter. The lowest four courses of bricks project slightly from the wall, creating a water table, which keeps water from running directly to the foundation. Economy was the third settlement started by the Harmonist Society, and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Properties. The site is located in Ambridge, Pennsylvania. For more information about the Harmonist Society’s settlement at “Oekonomie,” visit the Old Economy Village website.Galleries:Household Windows, Old Economy VillageKeywords:ambridge, basement window, brick wall, harmonist society, harmonists, old economy village, pennsylvania, water tablePhoto Location: Ambridge, PennsylvaniaPhotographer: Dr. Roy WinkelmanDate of Photo: 06/04/2011Device Make: CanonDevice Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark IIOriginal Dimensions: 5616×3744Picture Orientation: LandscapeGPS Coordinates: 40°35'49.49"N 80°13'22.20"WPicture Number: 14770
