A Monument to Colonel William P. Rogers

This monument is dedicated to Colonel William P. Rogers, who died during the Battle of Corinth, while leading a charge in the vicinity of Battery Robinett. The monument was erected, in 1906, at the intersection of Franklin and Waldron Streets; in 1919, it was moved to its present location, outside the Alcorn County Courthouse.
