This is a wine press. The top part was wound, turning the wood screw, which lowered the press. The juice of the grape passed through the side of the press, and the skins of the grape remained in the press. Economy was the third settlement started by the Harmonist Society, and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Properties. The site is located in Ambridge, Pennsylvania.
