Arizona Hopi Corn Maiden Wood Sculpture (Single View)

Arizona Hopi Corn Maiden Wood Sculpture (Single View)

This wood carving represents a Hopi Kachina Corn doll. It is intricately carved and beautifully painted. The doll has yellow corn kernels and green leaves carved into the area under her brown and red blanket. Her hair is long in the back with very detailed carving. This piece is signed (although it is difficult to decipher). It looks like "Sanakala H. I." The figure stands 10 inches (25 cm) tall.
