These stone blacks may have been used to construct the stairs leading down to Skew Arch Bridge. These stairs were added well after the railroad ceased operations, and the blocks may have been brought from another part of the site. There are two bore holes in one of the stone blocks. Skew Arch Bridge is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, as part of the Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site.Galleries:Allegheny Portage Railroad, Arch BridgesKeywords:allegheny portage railroad, arch bridge, bridge, gallitzin, pennsylvania, skew arch bridgePhoto Location: Skew Arch Bridge, Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site, PennsylvaniaPhotographer: Dr. Roy WinkelmanDate of Photo: 11/25/2011Device Make: CanonDevice Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark IIOriginal Dimensions: 5126×3227Picture Orientation: LandscapeGPS Coordinates: 40°27'11.00"N 78°32'34.23"WPicture Number: 15934
