Holland Dutch Boy Wearing Wide Woolen Pants, Jacket with Brass Buttons, and Wood Shoes (Full View)

Dutch boy doll made stuffed body. He is wearing traditional, wide woolen pants. His jacket is red with the customary double rows of brass buttons up the front. He has a small amount of hair (made from yarn) appearing under his cap. His face is hand painted on the cloth. On his feet, he wears the renown wooden shoes (called klompen), which are hand-carved, plain and unpainted. These wooden shoes were often worn by farmers in the marshy lowlands of Holland. The figure stands 10 inches (25 cm) tall.
