Venetian masks have a long history of protecting the wearer's identity. This handcrafted figurine of a masked man (perhaps a chef or server) was purchased in Venice, Italy. His body is paper mache, and his clothes are made from corn husk. He is wearing a black mask with a large nose, and carries a plate of spaghetti. He stands on a wooden stand. The figure stands 8 inches (20 cm) tall.
