Pyxis with Three Horses on Lid Viewed from the Side

A pyxis with three terracotta horses lid viewed from the side. It was an offering from a woman's grave of the Late Geometric Period (about 750 B.C.). It was found at a family burial ground to the South of Tholos. A pyxis was a round box with a lid used to hold cosmetics or jewellery.
