Screenprinting squeegees are used to pull ink across the surface of a screenprinting screen. In the process of screenprinting, the artist draws onto the screen, makes a stencil or burns a photographic image on the screen first. Paper is placed beneath the screen, ink is placed on top of the screen, and a squeegee is used to pull the ink over the image on the screen. Ink goes through the openings of the stencil or image and onto the paper.Galleries:Hillsborough, PrintmakingKeywords:art, ink, printmaking, screenprinting, squeegeePhoto Location: University of South Florida Print Shop, Tampa, FLPhotographer: Dr. Roy WinkelmanDate of Photo: 03/08/2011Device Make: CanonDevice Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark IIOriginal Dimensions: 5616×3744Picture Orientation: LandscapeGPS Coordinates: 28°3'16.5269"N 82°24'49.4262"WPicture Number: 4342
