Stone Crab Trap

Stone Crab Trap

Entrance to a stone crab trap at the Cedar Key Historical Society. Stone crabs like to hide in crevices and caves, and will willingly crawl into the wooden trap in search of the bait it can smell. Once inside, they cannot figure out how to escape.
