This is a blacksmith's anvil. There are tools laying on the face of the anvil. The pointed part is called the horn, and the flat part between the horn and the face is called the step. There is a pair of tongs inserted in the pritchel hole, on the face of the anvil. There is a square opening on the face of the anvil, called a hardy hole, but there are no hardy tools inserted in the opening. Economy was the third settlement started by the Harmonist Society, and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Properties. The site is located in Ambridge, Pennsylvania.
