The Blocks Representing the Campaigns of Red River and Atlanta
This water feature, entitled “The Stream of American History,” is part of the Corinth Civil War Interpretive Center. The water feature uses symbolism to represent the history of the United States, in relationship to the Civil War. The large blocks of stone, in the center of the water feature, all represent major battles and campaigns of the Civil War. Names that are all in capital letters are campaigns, and the rest are battles. The size of blocks reflect the number of casualties in a given campaign or battle. The blocks representing the campaigns of Atlanta and Red River are shown here, as are the blocks representing the Battles of Forts Pillow and Sanders.Galleries:Corinth Civil War Interpretive Center, PrismsKeywords:atlanta, battles, campaign, civil war, corinth, corinth civil war interpretive center, fort pillow, fort sanders, mississippi, red river, stone block, stream of american history, symbolism, water featurePhoto Location: Corinth Civil War Interpretive Center, Corinth, MississippiPhotographer: Nathan WolkenhauerDate of Photo: 10/29/2011Device Make: CanonDevice Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark IIExposure Time: 0.00125F Number: 2.8Original Dimensions: 5348×3468Picture Orientation: LandscapeGPS Coordinates: 34°56'14.50"N 88°31'48.06"WPicture Number: 21056
