This was a secret vault. When the town was occupied, this staircase was hidden under the floorboards of a closet. The secret door is being held open with a latch hook. At the bottom of the staircase, there is secret cache under the stone landing, or hidden behind a panel in the wall. Economy was the third settlement started by the Harmonist Society, and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Properties. The site is located in Ambridge, Pennsylvania.
