United States Capitol, Senate Entrance, East Side, "Progress of Civilization"
This is the Senate Entrance, at the United States Capitol, on the east side of the building. The high relief sculpture, in the recessed area of the pediment (or tympanum), is entitled "Progress of Civilization."
