This is one of the wool carding machines. There is a round center to the machine, with cylindrical parts on the exterior of the round center. The mechanism was moved by cogs. Economy was the third settlement started by the Harmonist Society, and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Properties. The site is located in Ambridge, Pennsylvania.
