Linear Movement

The 8 images in this gallery all convey some sort of linear movement. This is usually accomplished when the photo is taken. The photographer will pick a slow shutter speed so that the moving object is blurred while the background remains in focus. Alternately, the photographer can synchronize the movement of the camera with the moving object so that the object is in focus, but the background has a linear blur.
