Aesop
Aesop (also spelled Æsop) is the name by which many famous fables are known. The works date from the mid-6th century BCE in Greece, but not much else is known of the elusive Aesop. Although some scholars question whether he was an actual person, the moral-teaching tales credited with his name have withstood the passing of time and remain childhood favorites.
