Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln (February 12, 1809 – April 15, 1865) was an American politician who served as the 16th President of the United States (1861 to 1865). He is best known for ending slavery and preserving the Union by overseeing the war effort during the American Civil War. His influence has been magnified by his powerful speaking ability; his Gettysburg Address is a classic of American history.
