Dr. Roy Winkelman
Roy Winkelman is the director of the Florida Center for Instructional Technology in the College of Education, University of South Florida. He holds a Ph.D. in Art Education from the Pennsylvania State University and a B.A. and M.Ed. from Westminster College. Previous to directing FCIT, Dr. Winkelman taught visual art, math, language arts, theatre, and social studies in K-12 and education methods classes at Penn State.
Dr. Winkelman believes that students should use technology to create and publish their own content. For this, they need access to high-quality, copyright-friendly digital assets such as the ClipPix ETC photo collection. Dr. Winkelman hopes that his contributions to ClipPix ETC will enable many students and teachers to create and share valuable educational projects.
