The Side Elevation of the James M. Taylor House in Corinth, Mississippi
This is the Dr. James M. Taylor House, also known as the
Candler House, at 1022 North Fillmore Street. The house
was built in the early 1870s, in the Gothic Revival style, with an ell-front, T-plan. The posts that support he roof of the porch have an octagonal shape. The two-car garage, visible at the rear of the home, was a later addition. It matches the home in overall style, but lacks the gingerbread bargeboard that is seen on the eaves of earlier building.Galleries:Corinth, Gothic Revival, Views of Houses, ExteriorKeywords:bargeboard, corinth, ell-front, garage, gingerbread, gothic revival, house, james m taylor, mississippi, octagonal posts, t-planPhoto Location: Corinth, MississippiPhotographer: Dr. Roy WinkelmanDate of Photo: 10/31/2011Device Make: CanonDevice Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark IIExposure Time: 0.0125F Number: 16Original Dimensions: 5616×3744Picture Orientation: LandscapeGPS Coordinates: 34°56'03.32"N 88°31'20.17"WPicture Number: 20683
