Helen Nicolay
Hele Nicolay was born in Paris in 1866, while her father, John George Nicolay, was serving there as the United States Consul. She was not only a noted author, but a highly respected artist of her day. Her father served as the private secretary to Abraham Lincoln and later wrote a definitive biography of Lincoln. She lived in the District of Columbia until her death in 1954.
