The map show the natural bottleneck along the Bay of Malis where King Leonidas I of Sparta was able to block the Persian advance at the Persian Wall for seven days before being completely annihilated, the site of the camp of Xerxes, and the secret mountain pass disclosed by Ephialtes that allowed the Persians to flank the Spartans.
