Description: A sketch plan of the Agora of Athens, 479–431 BC, the "place of assembly". The plan shows the road to the Dipylon Gate, several Stoa (colonnades), the market, Council Hall, Temple of Dioscuri, Metroum, and the Temple of Apollo. Outside the Agora, on the Hill of Colonus, was the Theseum and Temple of Hephæstus, on the Pnyx was the Ecclesia, and on the Acropolis was the Prophylæa and Temple of Victory.
