This facsimile shows the American continents with a dashed line, showing their relative proper locations, so that ToscanelliÕs Zipanga (Japan) appears near the same location as Mexico. "Columbus saw this map before he sailed. It explains the general idea of the size of the World at that time and how he expected to find India where he found America."
