Beatrix Potter
Beatrix Potter, or Helen Beatrix Potter (1866 – 1943) was an English children’s book author and illustrator, most famous for the character "Peter Rabbit." Although she struggled in the beginning to find a publisher, once The Tale of Peter Rabbit was published her work was extremely well received, and Potter gained an independent income from the sales. Potter wrote her entire life and published 23 books.
