Snailfish - Sucker Between the Pectoral Fins

Liparis lineata. A fish of the genus Liparis; so called from their soft unctuous feel, and their habit of adhering to rocks by means of a ventral sucker.

This illustration shows the sucker present on the underside of the fish, between the pectoral fins.
