These handcrafted porcelain dolls are part of Schneider's European Folklore Collection. Schneider has been producing handmade dolls in Germany since 1934. The dolls are wearing the national costume of Bavaria. Schneider Dolls have hand painted porcelain faces and porcelain hands, legs and feet. They also have glass eyes, embroidery, and genuine leather shoes. The female doll is wearing the traditional costume and has a double slip trimmed in lace with pantaloons. She has a white floral embroidered apron and lace, black shoes, and a hat with a feather and decorative trim. The male doll is wearing the traditional lederhosen and suspender outfit.
