Dominican Republic Faceless Doll Made from Ceramic (Close Up)

Dominican Republic Faceless Doll Made from Ceramic (Close Up)

Glazed ceramic doll from the Dominican Republic. She has a white dress with glazed blue trim on her collar, hair ribbon, and the hem of the dress. Her brown hair is styled in curls on the side of her head. She is holding a bouquet of pink and green flowers. The lady does not have any facial features. The legend is that Dominicans represent a blend of Spaniards, Indians and Africans, and the faceless dolls represent the diversity of the island republic. The figure stands 4 inches (10 cm) tall.
